ANDstudio was hired to permit the complete renovation of a 2-story penthouse, designed by Sofia Joelsson Design, at Auberge Beach Residences. The two floors of the residence were only connected by a steel metal spiral staircase, which Sofias team had envisioned would be replaced by a grand staircase. X-raying of the post-tension slab was required to determine which cables would need to be cut in order to enlarge the opening, however for logistical reasons, the client decided to substitute the staircase for a private elevator between floors.
