For this home in the historic Morningside neighborhood, our clients wanted to add a pool for their son, while also making their house better for entertaining friends. With only 20 feet of backyard width to work with, we designed a new linear axis entertaining space, with a raised planted terrace serving as the connecting feature between the existing house and new pool. The terrace incorporates multiple planters with traditional limestone cladding to blend seamlessly with the historic home, while maintaining a clean, modern aesthetic.
